Muscat City Tour with Private Guide
Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
Begin your day at one of the Islamic world's most celebrated architectural achievements. The Grand Mosque can accommodate 20,000 worshippers and houses one of the world's largest hand-woven Persian carpets. Arrive early — the light through the marble courtyard in the morning is something you won't forget. Dress modestly; your guide will brief you on etiquette before entry. Open to visitors Saturday–Thursday, 8–11 AM.
Royal Opera House
A short drive brings you to the Royal Opera House — a monument to Oman's cultural ambition. The building blends classical Omani craftsmanship with international grandeur. Your guide will walk you through its public spaces and reveal the history behind Sultan Qaboos's vision for culture in the Arabian Peninsula.
Fish Market (Muttrah Fish Souk)
Head to the waterfront fish market — a vivid, fragrant, and utterly authentic slice of Muscat daily life. Fishermen bring in their catch from the Sea of Oman every morning. It's colour, activity, and sensory overload in the best possible way.
Old Town Muscat (Al Alam Palace & Surroundings)
The old walled city of Muscat is one of the Gulf's great historic districts. Your guide will take you through the Al Alam Palace — the ceremonial home of His Majesty Sultan Haitham — framed by the twin 16th-century Portuguese forts of Al Jalali and Al Mirani. The palace facade of gold and deep blue against the mountain backdrop is iconic.
Muttrah Fort
Climb to one of Muscat's oldest defensive structures for commanding panoramic views over the corniche, the old harbour, and the mountains beyond. Built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, the fort is a compelling reminder of Muscat's strategic importance across the centuries.
Rozna Restaurant
An evening at Rozna feels like stepping into an Omani family home from another century. The setting is theatrical — private majlis rooms, carved wooden screens, traditional floor seating — and the food is rooted deeply in Omani culinary tradition. Slow-cooked meats, aromatic rice, and dishes that have been perfected over generations. One of the most atmospheric dining experiences Muscat offers.

Daymaniyat Islands and departure
Hotel Checkout
Check out of your hotel before departure to the marina. Luggage can often be stored with the hotel concierge for a few hours if your flight is later in the day.
Boat to the Daymaniyat Islands
Board your private or group boat from Al Mouj Marina. The 45-minute crossing is spectacular — the Hajar Mountains recede behind you and the sea opens up ahead, turning progressively clearer and more luminous as you approach the islands. If you live in Al Mouj, it is walking distance to the Marina
Snorkelling, Swimming & Wildlife
The Daymaniyat Islands are a UNESCO-recognised nature reserve and one of the most important nesting grounds for sea turtles in the Indian Ocean. Snorkel through fields of staghorn coral, encounter hawksbill turtles gliding peacefully below, and drift above reef ecosystems teeming with parrotfish, lionfish, and eagle rays. The water is extraordinarily clear — visibility routinely exceeds 15 metres.
End of Service · Farewell to Muscat
Back at the marina by early afternoon, your Muscat Stay weekend concludes. If you've arranged private transfers, your driver will meet you at the marina for the journey to Muscat International Airport. Self-drivers can head directly — it's a straightforward 35-minute drive along the coast road.
